Zarina : A Beautiful Afternoon in Nashville, Tennessee

I met up with Zarina one Friday afternoon, despite the chilly winds we were having that day in Nashville. We made the last minute decision to make Vanderbilt University our backdrop for this portrait session, and although we found stunningly beautiful nook and crannies all around the campus, Zarina had remembered one staircase in particular that sounded like it was going to be an amazing location to include! We asked numerous people along the way if they could point us in the right direction, and slowly we made our way across campus, stopping along the way for pictures in all the eye-catching places.

At the end of the shoot, we finally stumbled upon the building we had been searching for! It was everything we could have envisioned, and just as we began getting some amazing shots the wind picked up again, delicately playing with Zarina's skirt, creating the most perfect movement in the beautiful scene.

What a wonderful reminder of how waiting patiently can truly pay off, and how amazing the people I work with are! Zarina had just as much mental visualization of the outcome of images as I did, if not more!
