2018: A Year In Review

Oh, what a year 2018 has been! From lots of traveling, so many beautiful photography sessions, one of the most beautiful days of my life, and some exciting news from my little family! I am so excited to share not only the highlights of EDP over the last year, but also some highlights of our own life!
You may have noticed that I had fewer weddings this year. Due to all the other things we had planned for the year, as well as an increase in destination sessions, our wedding season looked a little different. But as always, the couples I did photograph were some of the sweetest couples that I loved getting to know!

You all know that Kay usually second shoots at our weddings, but this year was special because I also got to include a very special and long-time friend/photographer as my second photographer for one of those weddings! First time shooting a wedding together and it was a blast!!

I had SOOOO many portrait sessions with new clients! newborn, family, boudoir, maternity......

....and I FINALLY collaborated with a local ballerina and her sweet boyfriend on a ballet inspired sweetheart session that I had been dreaming of for years! It's so cool when you see your ideas come to life!!! (See the full blog post HERE ->)

Kay was offered an amazing opportunity to teach at a University in New Jersey! I am always so proud of him! We began to mentally prepare ourselves for the big transition we would later be taking in the Fall. But first....
...there was my favorite wedding of all time.... where I wasn't the photographer. I WAS THE BRIDE!!!!

We delayed our honeymoon until summer and spent 6 weeks traveling through Europe. We had so much fun catching up with old friends, making new friends, and exploring the beautiful landscapes that each country offered.
We hiked all over Norway... (see blog post HERE ->)

... enjoyed the streets of Riga during Latvia's 100 year Song and Dance Festival... (see blog post HERE ->)

... and ate and drank our way through Belgium!!

We also had some AMAZING photoshoots lined up for our time in Europe! One in Norway, one in Latvia, and FIVE in Paris!! Guys... Paris has been on my list of places to shoot in for years!!!

And we even had our own pictures taken by the talented Kristine Grinvalde while we were in Riga, Latvia!

After traveling we came back to Kansas for a couple days, and then moved our lives to NEW JERSEY!!! Even after downsizing our tiny little Kansas apartment before moving, it felt like the boxes to un-pack were endless!!!

I jumped right in to some photo gigs in Pennsylvania, as well as participated in an amazing Styled Shoots Across America shoot in upstate New York with a dream-team of local wedding vendors! (see more
