Being a Bride, pt. 1| ...I'm engaged!!!
When he asked me if I wanted to spend the rest of my life going on adventures with him, it took everything inside of me to keep the flood of joyful tears held back. I had been suspecting this moment, yet had no idea all the emotions it would create in my heart with the excitement of starting a life of marriage together.
When I started my wedding photography business, I thought I understood the unique love stories each couple treasured within their relationship. I thought I understood the excitement of marriage. I thought I understood the planning and processing that a bride went through while preparing her wedding. I thought, I thought, I thought.....
But now that it is MY turn, I understand even deeper the journey that this season in itself is!
I realized I am actually now in the exact same shoes as the people I serve! So what better way to help inform brides searching for tips than from my own first-hand experience! So welcome to my mini series of Being a Bride! Over the next months, my hope for this series is that I will be able to be of some help by having the inside eye of a wedding professional and the to-do list of a bride. And now, for our engagement story! This sneaky man planned to propose while we were attending a family reunion out in Colorado. As you can see from the pictures, he was quite excited on the way out! The morning he proposed, he suggested taking a hike, one of our favorite things to do in Colorado. There we were, overlooking the most gorgeous canyon and feeling on top of the world. And he pulled out the ring that I unknowingly was carrying in my backpack. And of course I said YES!!!!
